Adult Dance/Movement Therapy Group
Every Wednesday from 6:15 to 7:30pm
This class uses the principles of dance therapy to allow yourself to clarify what you are feeling in the here and now, and vent and express! Part meditation, part rockin dance class, part group expression, it’s all about gaining clarity of mind, and tension release through the power of movement.
*Dance/movement therapy is the unity of body, mind and spirit as expressed through movement. In this workshop, we will explore and get comfortable with movement as a tool for tension release, group unification, and ultimately, expression of emotions as they arise in the here and now.
Each session will begin with a body-mind warm up. Partnering, use of props to enhance creativity (stretch bands, artwork), and “witnessing” (movement observation) will be utilized as appropriate to encourage and deepen our body-mind relationships.
